Christian Keyes was born in Detroit, MI. He is a 6’3” humble, hardworking and driven actor, writer and singer labeled by Tyler Perry as “One of the most consistent male actors I’ve worked with”. Christian has performed live in front of more than 3 million people while touring the last five years with several national stage plays. He was the lead (DR. HARRIS) in Tyler Perry’s “What’s Done In The Dark” released and distributed nationally by Lions Gate and sold more than 500,000 DVD copies. Christian was also (SONNY), the lead in Tyler Perry’s “Madea Goes To Jail” released and distributed nationally by Lions Gate and sold over 1 million copies. Christian can be seen (proposing in the restaurant) in the movie “Diary of A Mad Black Woman”. Currently Christian is co-starring in Je’Caryous Johnson’s “Cheaper to Keep Her” singing and battling music icon Brian McKnight for Vivica A. Fox’s affection.
Christian is starring in Tri Destined Studios’ romantic comedy “Perfect Combination” directed by Trey Haley, produced by ND Brown and Veronica Nichols, in which he plays Rick Jameson, a successful lawyer ready to settle down, but looking for love in all the wrong places. The film is set to release May 4, 2010 through Tri Destined Studios and Image Entertainment.
When not pursuing his love for acting, Christian can be found with his other love, singing. As a talented singer-song writer, Christian Keyes released his debut album “Day By Day” for which he wrote 12 of the 13 songs, including the ballad, “I Know”. The Fahrenheit Music Group is Christian’s label and the CD has sold more than 15,000 copies. He just finished recording the new CD “PERSONAL”, which is available now on iTunes. Christian is also performing around the country opening for acts such as R& B sensations: Anthony Hamilton and Lyfe Jennings. He is also the lead in Ashanti’s video that was nominated for video of the year in ‘08 for “The Way That I love You” and starred in Ledisi’s “In The Morning” and in Keri Hilson’s “Energy” music videos.
